Pigman was my final film of my second year at the University of Gloucestershire. On this film, I was the editor and co-writer. This was my first time writing a short film, but with an editor’s mindset, it allowed me to sow the seeds for what I would need later in post.

The film follows Abe, a Pigman, through the eyes of a documentary crew as we are taken into a day in his life. But as the day progresses, things get dark and he realises humans aren’t as tolerant to him, as he is to them.

This was a very fun project to work on. With my last short iflm being a documentary, going into editing a mockumentary was a bizarre change of pace, trying to follow these editing codes and conventions in a nearly entirely scripted film. It was very challenging, but in the end, I am very proud of the work me and the rest of the crew have done to create Pigman.

In January 2024, Pigman was nominated for the RTS West of England Student Awards for Entertainment & Comedy Drama.
